Dear Valued Customers,
At Bissesar Technologies Limited, we prioritise the security and privacy of your data above all else. We are writing to inform you about a recent security incident involving one of our internal email servers. We believe in transparency, so we’re sharing the details with you directly.
What Happened
On 3rd January, 2026, our security team detected an unauthorised access to our internal email server. This was a targeted breach attempt, but thanks to our robust monitoring systems, we identified and contained it immediately–within minutes of detection. Our incident response team acted swiftly to isolate the affected server and prevent any further access.
What Was Affected
The breach was strictly limited to our internal email systems, which are used for company communications. No customer data, including emails hosted on our dedicated customer servers, was impacted. Importantly:
- No confidential customer information, such as personal details, payment data, or account credentials, was accessed or leaked.
- Customer emails and services remain fully secure and operational on separate, unaffected servers.
We conduct regular audits and use advanced encryption and segmentation to ensure that internal systems are isolated from customer-facing ones, which helped limit the scope of this incident.
Our Response and Next Steps
Upon detection, we:
- Immediately shut down and isolated the compromised server.
- Engaged our cybersecurity experts and third-party forensic investigators to analyse the incident.
- Enhanced monitoring across all systems and applied additional security patches where necessary.
The investigation is ongoing, and we are cooperating fully with any relevant authorities involved. At this time, there is no evidence of data exfiltration or misuse. We will continue to monitor for any potential risks and provide updates if new information emerges.
As a precautionary measure, we recommend that you:
- Review your account activity for any unusual behaviour (though we have no reason to believe your data was affected).
- Ensure your passwords are strong and unique, and enable two-factor authentication if you haven’t already.
If you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team at [email protected] or via our help centre. We’re here to assist you 24/7.
Our Commitment to Security
This incident serves as a reminder of the evolving threats in the digital landscape, particularly, New Zealand, and we are committed to continuously improving our defences. We invest heavily in state-of-the-art security technologies and conduct regular penetration testing to stay ahead of potential risks.
Thank you for your trust and understanding. We apologise for any concern this may cause and appreciate your continued partnership.
Stay safe,
Bissesar Technologies Limited.
