To ensure our commitment to providing quality service, we wish to advise our valued customers of the following upcoming maintenance:
What it is
Our hosting infrastructure provider Moohost will be performing critical updates on some of their hosting servers.
These updates are critical for providing uninterrupted services to our customers as it involves updating the core server OS to a newer version. Moohost’s hosting servers are migrating from RHEL 9.6 to RHEL 10, as a new version has been released by the OS vendor–Red Hat Inc.
Services that will be affected
The updates will be performed in a way that cause minimal interruption to existing services for our customers. We have been advised, however, that the following services may experience some some disruptions during the maintenance/upgrade period:
- Web Hosting Services: some web hosting services will likely be affected, which means that some websites may be briefly unavailable to visitors.
- Emails: customers who are hosting their emails through these servers may experience some delays in sending and receiving emails during the update window.
- SSL Certificate Issue/Renew: As the core server will undergo updates, existing SSL certificates issued by Let’s Encrypt will not be able to be renewed during the update. New Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates can also not be requested through your hosting accounts during the update. Any pending renewals or issues will be completed once the update is finished.
When the update will be performed
Moohost has advised that this update will take place on 25/06/2025 from 0200 to 0300 (NZST). We expect all related services to resume after this time.
What you need to do
If you have important things to do such as sending important emails, we suggest that you send them before the update commences or after it has finished. You are not required to perform any specific actions for this update.
